# Dream Career Connection Dream Career Connection (DCC) is the umbrella brand for four apprenticeship programs. Since 1989, DCC has paired mentees one-on-one with working professionals inside real studios, sets, stations, and kitchens. The model is simple: one mentee, one mentor, one working studio, for two to six months, in the mentee's own city. The curriculum is the work itself. ## The mentor model You apprentice with a working professional inside their real working room. Online coursework runs in parallel with regular in-studio sessions, so theory lands the same day you see it applied. There is no relocation and there are no lecture halls. You finish with credits on real projects, references from working pros, and a professional network it took your mentor years to build. Many apprentices are hired by the studio they trained inside. How it works, start to finish: 1. Tell us your discipline and your city. We surface a vetted mentor whose studio matches where you are trying to go. You meet and decide together. 2. You apprentice inside their room on real work with real clients and real deadlines, while coursework runs in parallel. 3. You walk out with a career, not just a diploma. ## The four programs Recording Connection (https://recordingconnection.com): music production and audio engineering. Sit second-engineer on real sessions inside working studios. Set up mics, cut vocals, mix to the room, and learn how a record actually gets made. Film Connection (https://filmconnection.com): film, television, and post-production. On set with the camera operator, in the edit bay with the editor, in the colorist's suite. From indie shorts to episodic television, you learn film by making film. Radio Connection (https://radioconnection.com): broadcast and podcasting. Inside live broadcast booths and podcast studios. Run the board, cut promos, and work the talent in the medium that runs every drive home and every podcast feed. CASA: The Chef Apprentice Studio of the Arts (https://casaschools.com): restaurant kitchens and pastry. Cook the line in working kitchens. Prep, line, pastry, and the business of food, learned in the room where it happens. ## Common questions Do I need prior experience? No. The model is built for beginners. Your mentor meets you where you are. Can I do this online? No. Apprenticeship happens in a real working room with a working professional. That is the whole point of the model. How long does it take? Roughly two to six months depending on the program, your pace, and the work you want to do at the end. What cities do you partner in? Partner studios are in more than 280 cities across the United States and Canada. See https://dreamcareerconnection.com/studios What happens on the interview? Twenty minutes with a mentee advisor who asks what you want to do for a living, then routes you to the closest mentor in your city working in that field. ## Where to go next Schedule an interview: https://dreamcareerconnection.com/interview Browse mentors: https://dreamcareerconnection.com/mentors Browse studios: https://dreamcareerconnection.com/studios Explore career paths: https://dreamcareerconnection.com/careers About DCC: https://dreamcareerconnection.com/about
